York Region Summer Camps Guide (2026)

Summer break is almost here, and if you're anything like me, planning summer activities can feel like a full-time job. Between balancing budgets, coordinating drop-offs and pick-ups, and finding something the kids will actually enjoy, planning summer can quickly feel overwhelming

If you're currently sitting in front of your laptop with 27 tabs open, comparing camp websites and trying to build a July and August schedule that somehow works for everyone, take a deep breath. You're not alone.

Because I know just how chaotic this process can be, I decided to do the heavy lifting for you. After spending way too much time on Google (you're welcome!), I've compiled a listing of summer camps across York Region into one easy-to-use directory. Whether your child loves STEM, sports, arts, languages, nature, or you’re looking for faith-based programming, there's something for everyone.

I've organized everything into one clean, interactive Google Sheet. Simply enter your email, and the master spreadsheet will open instantly in a new tab.

Note: This guide was compiled at a specific point in time and is not regularly updated. As such, pricing and programming are subject to change. Always check the official website of the provider via the links provided.

A Few Summer Camp Planning Tips

Before you hit that registration button, here are a few things that can save your sanity later.

  1. The Extended Care Lifesaver
If you're commuting or working during the day, check whether camps offer before and after-care. Many local programs provide extended hours (typically from around 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) for an additional fee of about $25–$40 per week.

  2. Don't Forget About Camp Buses
Found the perfect camp, but it's a little too far away? Some private camps offer neighbourhood shuttle services. While transportation can add roughly $95–$265 per session, it may save you countless hours driving back and forth (and preserve your patience on Highway 404).

  3. Don't Count Out Municipal Camps
Municipal camps often offer incredible value, with weekly rates typically ranging from $180–$300. The catch? Spots disappear quickly. While registration has been open for quite some time, some programs still have availability. And if you're already thinking ahead to next summer, mark those registration dates on your calendar; popular programs can fill up quickly.
